Transformative Embodied Experience by Living Soil Asia with Santosh Kumar and Vivian Lee
The Deep Time Walk (DTW) is a time travel journey where participants walk 4.6km across 4.6 billion years of Earth’s history.
This transformative embodied experience starts at the formation of the solar system and the creation of Earth. The guided walk covers some of the most significant events and key revolutions in Earth's deep history, including the formation of the Moon, the oceans, the atmosphere, the early evolution of single-celled life, plate tectonics, multicellular life, the Cambrian Explosion, mass extinctions, dinosaurs and right at the end, our own species, Homo sapiens - just in the last 30 centimetres!
This version of the Deep Time Walk is crafted with stories, actions and sound effects, engaging and expanding you imagination and spontaneous participation. During this interactive walk, you will also be invited to engage in reflective inquiry of our place in the living world, and reconnect with Mother Earth, our home.
We will start in the afternoon where we open the deep time portal and end in the evening under the night sky, closing with the spiral practice from The Work that Reconnects by Joanna Macy.
This walking route in the Fort Canning Park includes walking up a few slopes and a few small flight of stairs. If you have any accessibility concerns, please let us know and we will try our best to find a gentler alternative where available. Please bring along your own picnic dinner, there will be a short dinner break during the walk.
Santosh and Vivian are the facilitators of Deep Time Walk, invited by Living Soil Asia as part of Living Soil Asia's CoThink Lab Fellowship with T:>Works.

Santosh, founder of Soul Probe, is an Organizational Development (OD) consultant who facilitates awareness-based—or inner-led—systems change in response to the question: “What does it take to be a good ancestor?” He designs and facilitates conversations and experiences that shift culture and consciousness, unlocking the latent potential of individuals, teams, systems and societies.
With over 13 years of experience working with educational, economic, environmental, civic and social systems in diverse cultures and across the people, public and private sectors, Santosh has dedicated his journey to uncovering the conditions that enable human and organizational systems to flourish in healthy, holistic and wholesome ways. That humbling journey led him to ancient and indigenous wisdom and the realization that truly sustainable and regenerative systems change can only happen from inside-out.
Santosh’s work in corporates and communities involves inner, interpersonal and outerwork and is organized around the themes of social, environmental and economic justice. Get to know more about Santosh's work here. As a healer, bridge and translator, he navigates the delicate spaces between the human and the more-than-human worlds; the mind and the body; the East and the West; the ancient and the modern; and the market economy and alternative economies.

Vivian dwells at the intersection of art, ecology and well-being, focussing on creating intentional spaces for regeneration and healing. Her social artistry brings people together for nourishing conversations, mindfulness practices and meaningful collaborations. As a Culture Shaper and Vision Guide at Living Soil Asia, Vivian crafts entry ways to co-create regenerative ways of being in response to the complexities of the changing world, in the context of the urban city of Singapore. Vivian also practices as a Trauma-Informed Relational Somatic Therapist at Sol Therapy.
She sees Nature as her mentor; she enjoys puttering around in a garden, grounding in the park, walking mindfully in the forest or streets, singing and dancing, or floating freely in the sea.
In this version of the Deep Time Walk, Vivian supported the route design with Santosh and facilitates the co-creative direction and process with the collaborators.
